What we do
Heartwize is a charity formed in 2014 with one goal, to create a generation of lifesavers. The charity has now taught life saving skills in secondary schools in Leicester and Rutland as well as with different community groups. The charity has also supplied Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to all schools involved to increase the likelihood of survival of out of hospital cardiac arrest.
Heartwize delivers basic life support training including CPR using resuscitation dolls as well as how to use AEDs. Heartwize volunteers and resuscitation officers provide the training to ensure school children and other groups have the confidence and knowledge to perform CPR and help save a life.
From September 2019, the charity is branching out and beginning training in secondary schools in Essex. Please see the Heartwize Essex tab for more information and contact us if you would like to get involved.
